ImageCoin Townhall set up it’s Foreign Residents department in mid December of 2008 under the auspices of councillor Daniel Hendrikx.

The department is situated in the Tourist office in Plaza Bermudez, alongside the main church in the town, and it is open every Friday from 10am to 2pm and staffed by Yasmin Kelly & Terry Clear.

Foreign residents can visit the office, or telephone or e-mail, for help with all manner of problems, from translating a council letter to getting an over-65 card.

By the end of February 2009, over 100 people had visited the office to get help with their problems, the majority of them getting immediate solutions – there have been questions about water meters, electricity & Telefonica bills, over-65 cards, registering for empadron, changing registration plates on imported cars, getting a residencia, changing driving licences etc etc.

The department has the full backing of the Townhall from the Mayor downwards, and this obviously helps with solving a lot of the problems that people have.

If you have a problem, visit the Website or simply come to the office on a Friday morning, or telephone 952453211, or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it !
