Coin, Spain

Coín became an important centre for oils and wines. In 1485 the village was taken by a siege during the Christian re-conquest. Christopher Columbus was alleged to be involved. Captain Cook visited Coín in 1829.

El Dorado was a British soap set in the small resort of Los Barcos near Coin. It was to be the Euro Soap for all nations, but sadly the BBC dropped the show after just one year.
